She’s a traveler, a writer, a weaver, and a foodie.
A deep love for the craft of fashion pared with an adamant belief that success is defined by the individual, led her to found StartUp FASHION in 2010 where she helps independent designers screw the traditional fashion business rules, create their own paths, and build businesses based on their own definitions of success.
More than anything else, she’s in the business of encouragement and works every day to remind designers that they have something special to offer the world and that they can, in fact, do this thing!
Prior to founding StartUp FASHION, she worked in textile sourcing for some of the fashion industry’s best known designers in NYC, ran operations for a textile distributor in Philadelphia, was the VP of Global Content for a fashion based eCommerce platform in Singapore, and launched and grew her own textile design and accessories label for 5 years.
With a diverse background in fashion, content creation, and social media marketing, along with a love for writing, and a desire to help, she took StartUp FASHION from being a small blog with a niche audience and grew it into a much-respected industry resource and profitable business that reaches hundreds of thousands of designers around the world.
